SCHOLARSHIPS
The Society provides scholarships for active NTHS members currently enrolled at the school in which they were inducted. For additional information or inquiries, contact [email protected].
NTHS/Jon H. Poteat Scholarships
These scholarships, named in honor and memory of the co-founder of the Society, are awarded annually to student NTHS members who consistently exemplify the seven character attributes of the NTHS – Skill, Honesty, Service,
Responsibility, Scholarship, Citizenship, and Leadership.
Jon H. Poteat Scholarship
on-line submissions are available from January 1, 2011 until April 20, 2011. Members must log in to
enter, and eligibility is contingent upon NTHS Advisor approval. There is no application to fill out, just confirm your name and email address, then submit!
Seventy-five $1,000.00 Jon H. Poteat Scholarships
will be awarded by random selection for the '10-'11 school year. Names of the winners will be posted on the website on May 1, 2011 and later contacted by mail and e-mail. Recipients should be prepared to submit a photo
of themselves within 2 weeks of receiving notification.
NTHS/HOSA Scholarships
The mission of Health Occupational Students of America is to promote career opportunities in health care and to enhance the delivery of quality health care to all people. NTHS is honored to be partnered with HOSA in supporting their mission and providing Four $1,000 scholarships for active HOSA members who are also current NTHS members in good standing. Two (2)scholarships will be awarded to a high school member, and two (2) scholarships will be

NTHS/SkillsUSA Scholarships
NTHS has teamed up with the SkillsUSA to promote outstanding student achievement within career and technical education. NTHS will awarding Four $1,000 scholarships to SkillsUSA members at the SkillsUSA National Leadership Conference. Two (2)scholarships will be awarded to a high school member, and two (2) scholarships will be awarded to a college/postsecondary member. DECA, the association for students and teachers of marketing, management and entrepreneurship has partnered with NTHS to promote outstanding student achievement within career and technical education and to develop future
leaders. Two $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to high school students that are members of both DECA and NTHS. For more information go to http://www.deca.org/scholarships/. Please note that the 2011 deadline closed on January 21.
NTHS/FCCLA Scholarships
Involvement in FCCLA offers members the opportunity to expand their leadership potential and develop skills for life -- planning, goal setting, problem solving, decision making and interpersonal communication -- necessary

NTHS is pleased to partner with FBLA-PBL to recognize the outstanding achievement of their students. FBLA-PBL offers an extensive competitive event program for their members. The mission of Business Professionals of America is to contribute to the preparation of a world-class workforce through the advancement of leadership, academic, citizenship, and technological skills. NTHS will award Two
$1,000 scholarships to students who are members of NTHS and BPA. One will be awarded to a high school student, and one to a college student. For more information and the application form please visit
